ARRIVAL LOCATION
The Big Lot at 1000 E. Market St., Louisville, KY 40206.
The line starts eastbound on Market St., turns right on Baxter Ave., then turns right again to enter the lot via the gate on Jefferson St. At the gate, you will check in with a Flea attendant, who will have the information you supplied on your sign-up form, and will help get you into a booth space.

PARKING
Vendors without disabilities are required to park at the public lot by Lincoln Elementary (one block west on E Market St), or, if full, at least one block away from the Flea. This is to make more parking available for patrons, which will help us all! Vendors who repeatedly disregard this request may be barred from participation.

Sunday 11am-5pm

LOAD-OUT
Saturday, cars re-admitted at 6:30pm
Sunday, cars re-admitted at 5:30pm
(Please use this time to break down and pack up)

CHECK IN
Vendors must check in with the attendant at the gate on Jefferson St. near Baxter Ave. (If a line is formed, please turn on your hazards to alert regular traffic to go around you.) Please confirm your application preferences with the attendant (i.e., booth size, reservations for electric or corner, etc). A Flea worker will then guide you to a spot.

SELECTING A SPOT
Vendors will be given a limited choice of spaces. We do not work strictly on a first-come-first-served basis as there are many limiting factors ( e.g., day/s you are vending, booth size, reserved corner spots, etc.).

SET UP
After you are shown to a spot, please unload your stuff and move your vehicle as quickly as possible. Set up and organization can happen once you’ve parked your car. THIS WILL BENEFIT ALL THE VENDORS BEHIND YOU!

VENDOR PAYMENT POLICY
We collect payment on site the day of the event, around 12 noon. You can pay using cash, check, money order, Venmo, PayPal, or Flea Bucks.

Please note:

  • It is totally okay to play music in your booth, but please be considerate of your neighbors; please keep music at a volume that keeps it in your booth and not spilling out into neighbors' booths and aisles.

  • If you need a bathroom break during the event, or need to step away from your booth, ask a Flea employee for help--we're glad to assist!

  • Please be respectful of residents and neighboring businesses.

  • Please keep your items within the10’x10’ space provided. There will be chalk marks at the four corners of each booth space and vendors must stay within these chalk marks.

  • Vendors are allowed one sign outside of the four corners of their booth (dimension of sign must be less than 8 square feet per side).

  • Please do not take chairs meant for patrons; bring your own seating.

  • The market area is CLOSED TO VEHICLES 30 mins before opening and 30 mins after closing, so please arrive with ample time to unload and get your vehicle/s out of the market area. If you arrive late you can use handcarts (provided) to move stuff from your vehicle to your spot.

  • There is a dumpster on the West side of the lot. Vendors are responsible for their own trash and cannot leave anything behind at the end of the market.

  • Smoking is allowed, but please be considerate of your neighbors and dispose of cigarettes properly.

LOAD OUT
Please plan on being open for all hours of the market. Vehicles will be re-admitted 30 minutes after the market closes to the public. If you know you MUST leave early, please make prior arrangements with Nathan, 502-552-0061. Do not drive into the market before these times. PLEASE ALWAYS DRIVE SLOWLY AT THE FLEA (watch for children and dogs)!

RULES FOR TENTS
Canopies/tents are not required, but if using one, it must be weighted down to keep it from flying away and injuring people or damaging property. (One gallon water jugs tied to canopy legs work well.) If your tent injures people or damages other people's property you will be liable. NOTE: If gusts of wind are over 30mph, you may be required to take your tent down for safety.

OVERNIGHT VENDORS
Please secure your stuff with weather in mind. We will have security overnight, but cannot be responsible for what effect weather may have on your goods.

CANCELLATION
If you've signed up but need to cancel, that is totally fine, but PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. It helps us with the planning!
